He suffers really really badly from anxiety he has a service dog that he has to take everywhere with him to support him and help him stop having panic attacks.

I'd have never have called that. If I was like Henry Cavill I'd worry about nothing.

Henry is one hella hunk of man meat.

In addition to The Witcher and Superman for which he is well known, he came to prominence for The Tudors, where with Callum Blue he outshone Johnny Reece Myers’ King Henry playing the king’s best friends. I admit I fell for the Henry-shaped Duke of Somerset.

He was cast as Superman but a change of director meant he was replaced by the immediately forgettable Brandon Routh. He lost two roles to Robert Pattinson - Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the male lead in the Twillight films. Then he was in the last two for Bond but lost to Daniel Craig.

This all lead to him being known as “Hollywood’s Nearly Star” - that guy who nearly was a star but who had not had significant success as a lead.

Then another Superman revival and Henry became Superman and - I may be biased owing to the love I bear him - he knocked it out of the park. The best Superman for me. He followed this playing Napoleon Solo in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. a film that apparently I liked more than the masses did!

His next big thing was The Witcher - perfectly timed for the streaming generation in which he proved charismatic acting can be staring and being still a lot. Whilst looking hot. #HenryCanDoNoWrong. He was a fan of the books, knew his character inside out and corrected the showrunners when they went off character. They did not like that!

Falling out with the producers saw him leave and then be replaced in the role. He returned to preparations for another Superman and it was announced and he did all the press. A week later a change in the executives in the film studio and he was sacked to be replaced by a Henry Cavill looky-likely.

Having had two major roles with which has been closely associated recast are we entering a “Hollywood’s Former Man” era?

I hope not. Because this man is banging sexy. He’s a good actor. Comes across as a thoroughly good egg. He is someone who worries about the fans. I love that he loves to paint little military figures – no idea why anybody would, but I love that he loves it so much. Don’t get on me Warhammer fans!

I also really like that on a late night talkshow in the US he asked about his cardio routine and what he needed to do to get in shape for the Witcher. He said lots of protein, and cutting carbs. Pressed for his exercise routine he said he didn’t do any except for you know what comes natural. So he got his wonderful abs by having sex. What positions this man must get into Lord only knows, but I would like to join the Lord in that knowledge.
