Yes there's certainly a contrast between the two, I've always found Liverpool and its people to be more welcoming, although there is a lot to be said in favour of Manc too.

If you want a laugh, the Everton FC tour. The trophy room has a nice carpet, blinds and a spotlessly clean and empty cabinet.

Good for those with OCD who hate clutter.
