Ball ring needs to be capable of opening. My balls are too sensitive to slip through a ring.

I had this "problem" I just thought it a god send as no dom/me could fond a cage to fit around my balls. Which was a relief to me. Cock cages scare me to death.

If you look on eBay there's a Chinese company does one where the ring opens fully, like handcuffs. I'm just glad they weren't around back then.

The only problem with rings that are h8mged to open, is that they will nip your scrotum. That can.be from slightly uncomfortable to bloody painfull. A solid ring is much more comfortable once on.
