Mine found out about my crossdressing but I assured her it didn’t mean I was interested in men, which to be fair, at the time, I wasn’t. No idea if she thought I’d grown out of it (I was mid teens) as it was never discussed later.

Mums always know.

I came out to my parents 35 years ago pre mobile phones and Internet. I wrote her a letter saying I had met someone etc etc ( my now husband) and she sent me a telegram, yes it was that long ago and all it said was,

"Dont worry, already knew'.

I have that framed on the wall.
