Was using my 'alternative' x login - the one for porn - and began to wonder how effective these age verification rules will be when you don't need to go to a porn site to access porn. Thoughts?

Patents that don't put restrictions and spyware software on their young children's devices ain't good parents.

Roblox is just one of many examples and if your kids are using tor or onion browsers just confiscate the lot and ground them until they fess up to what they been looking at and who they been talking to.

Do we really think we can age verify our way out of problems with the web, any more than age verification in shops has stopped young people buying alcohol, cigarettes, vapes or knives.

It's political action (we're doing something) to appease those who want to see action, regardless of how effective the action will really be.

It's like a new law to protect shop workers. Action. But there are sufficient laws already.

Ability to enforce, effective sentences, behaviour change are the actions required. But these all cost money or take time!

Simple solutions grab headlines but are often not effective.
