It spoils the flow reading them(phone typed then)

but typing on a phone

with (phone typed will)

auto correct makes it

difficult (phone typed different) to keep track of typos.

Not to mention my own dyslexia and thick thumbs!

Posing such a question here is an invitation to get torn apart!

Sadly, many contributors lack the necessary writing skills, often through no fault of their own.

The kindest approach is to accept this and appreciate their willingness to share their story or opinion in an open forum, despite any imperfections.

The grammar and spelling police are everywhere, it’s a sad fact someone always wants to criticise and critique.

Another poster has written about Dyslexia.

No one ever takes these facts into consideration, they are very prevalent in today’s society, predictive text on phones and tablets etc. Doesn’t help especially when you type something and hit send without proofreading it first, go back to it later and wonder what’s that !

It is a well known fact as long as the first and last letter of a word are correct, the brain computes this and you can read the words or sentences without a problem .

Another observation is the grammar and spelling police never seem to write anything themselves.

Sometimes a lack of conventional grammar, spelling and punctuation don't matter, when the story is compelling enough.

It's like someone without inhibition talking right at you with a hot experience - like a stream of consciousness. It can make the telling very authentic, immediate and effective.

Bad grammar does lessen the enjoyment for me, but not to the extent I stop reading if I find it a good story/experience. What does stop me is a complete lack of grammar, 20/30+ line stories without so much as a comma.

Precise and exact grammar is probably only achievable by a select few. As long as the general spirit/intent of what's written is lucid enough to the reader; it should not matter.

As the vast majority of us write in a colloquial style, where the normal ability to imply an emphasis by intonation or even facial expression is clearly impossible. It can sometimes make conversation a little difficult. Possibly a little more thought should be given to what we issue forth for consideration by the reader.

As Victoria Wood once said "offence can only be taken, not given".
