Psychotherapy may be useful if they feel inadequate, like Meta-cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Cognitive-behavioural Therapy etc.

I agree, noone should ever be ashamed of their body. Someone, is always someone's type, regardless of if they're fat or slim or a few extra pounds. Saying that I don't really like my body but I'm working on it.

My personal line in the sand is unhealthy.

I can stand and even appreciate a little extra weight (assuming weight is mostly what we're talking here) as long as it comes with a good attitude to life and a certain vigour suggestive of enjoying life rather than being beaten down by it.

Gross obesity and self-hate, no thanks. I'm no supermodel, I have a middle-aged gut and a bit of a pregnancy belly thing going on from some angles, but I also have an active physically demanding job. I can lift and in some cases embarrass guys thirty years younger at work because attitude, healthy diet and work ethic.

It's a cliché that beauty comes from within but also fairly true. I work my fucking bollocks off and enjoy it and not being a sad middle aged slob.
