Moses vs Whyte

I’m really hoping Whyte rolls back the years and takes Moses into deep waters. Moses needs a FIGHT test now. Being roughed up, taking big digs in the 8th, 9th, 10th. I want to see him have to dog it out.

Sadly, if Whyte sees the 2nd half it’ll be a good showing

Moses is the heir apparent. Once Usyk retires, Moses will reign for years. But we still need to see him prove it.

Probably have a rebuilding fight. (FairPlay)

But depending on who fights Usyk, Dubois needs to fight either Parker or Kabayel. Nobody else is worth that’s in the rankings. Obviously Moses but they’re both Frank fighters.

Ah you know your subject well Op...

Do you remember Willie Limond, the Scottish fighter who sadly passed away earlier this year. He ran Amir Khan close.

Yep. Decent fighters. Only British level tbf. But solid.

I’ve followed boxing since Minter/Hagler 1981 (off the top of my head) - it might be 1980.

Aww man. He was the best. Not only in the ring but as a man.

The Petronelli brothers Took him on as a nobody (Hagar had hair) trained him and gave him a job on their building sites. Trained and guided him to the top shelf. They then said to him “ now you’re earning millions, we’ll take a lesser percentage”

Marvin said.

“You will take the same percentages have you’ve always taken”

My hero ❤️

This is a dangerous fight for Moses.. I'm hoping it's not too soon for him, it's a good test and chance to prove his climb in the rankings.. 20yr old it might just prove too much of a step.. But he has a good attitude and a decent IQ combined with a hell of a punch, interesting one. Good luck to the lad

As others have said, a very good test for Itauma who's still only 20. Whyte has a great record, although when it comes to titles, a 'nearly man'.

I really can't predict how the fight will go, looking forward to it.

I just read an article about the fight on the DAZN website, with one paragraph reading "That makes this battle all the more fascinating, as Itauma looks to tackle a man practically old enough to be his father in the ring, and set the stage for further challenges".

'Practically old enough' made me laugh. Whyte fathered his first child at the age of 13, making his son or daughter 24, 4 years older than Itauma.

Back to the fight, there's a very decent undercard with Liverpool's Nick Ball taking on the Aussie Sam Goodman - both of whom are undefeated.

I’ll predict how the fight will go. Moses by stoppage. Before the halfway point.

He needs a test now. He learns nothing from knocking over puddings. Yes, he’s never fought anybody in a fight as good as Whyte WAS. Was being the operative word. Moses has sparred most of the top heavyweights - inc 2 full camps with Fury (preparing for Usyk)

Moses looks incredibly powerful without the pumped bodybuilder look which I believe slows the heavyweights down.

He needs to fight again soon it being such a short fight but unfortunately for him it won't happen

To a certain extent he’s a victim of his own success …. Now he’s stepped up, he can’t go back to fighting journeymen types.

Bakole, Ajagba or Hrgovic is the next logical step.

I can see him fighting Chisora, he needs that type of experience. He's 41 now but I wouldn't describe him as a journeyman.

I’m not sure that happens. Del knows the score. He’ll get knocked out.

Ajagba. Bakole or Kabeyle for Moses. He needs it.
