Looks absolutely sh*t. Full on BBC political correctness. I don’t think I’ll bother.

I don’t watch it so not invested. But having seen the line up…….im curious to know where the “political correctness” (Whatever the fuck that is) is being displayed.

because shockingly they've allowed black, gay, old, young, men, women and even a lovely young woman with Down's Syndrome to take part. If that's box ticking then bring it on

Well it would be better if it had celebs who might be able to dance rather than people who are there to be laughed at or patronised.

Even better if the Beeb pulled the plug on it altogether, it had its day several seasons back, it's more of an autumnal national embarrassment these days.

Only way to improve it now would be 'Naked Strictly'

Alex Kingston will be getting my votes. She could come out and fall flat on her arse and still get them.

I recod it and skip all the crappy bits. Get through it in 20 minutes

They should ban it. It elevates a colonial heteronormative, eurocentric art-form and it's ableist.

I'm not a great fan of the show but I'm aware of it, and acknowledge its success and that it's enjoyed by many.

I've just had a look at the line-up and am surprised by how many I know - not always the case. Quite why you are so upset by this, and deem it to be 'politically correct' is beyond me.

I shall do what I always do when I hear the strictly theme tune.

Headphones on, music app on random, and read my kindle.

Haven't paid attention to the line up this year, but can predict that the older white male sports personality will get through a couple of weeks, then find himself decked out in a floral samba shirt, doing some dad dancing and will go into the head to head against a serious dance like the waltz amd he'll be gone.

This show writes itself.

Indeed, I concur, a completely dire formulaic spectacle that celebrates superficiality and objectifies its egotistical celebrity contestants. It's a vapid, ratings-driven exercise in low-quality entertainment, vacuous nonsense that lacks substance or merit. Spare a thought for the mindless, dull, pea-brained audience lapping up the shallow celebrity gossip and dodgy dance moves. A full 10 from me to condemn such utter televisual hogwash and drivel darling!😉

I'm reminded of the old schoolboy gag:-

"What's white, wet and slithers across the floor?"

"Cum Dancing!" 😂

That's a very old joke, late '70s or early '80s vintage.

totally agree, it’s painful to watch z-listers being dragged around the dance floor, I’ve enjoyed a few moments (Danny Mack ) yum

At least he could dance , Debbie McGee was the rightful winner her year (& Denise van outen) , now it’s a box ticking exercise & men flouncing around acting like women

I see it's bringing out all the haters as usual.

I have no idea who half of them are but will still watch watching some bungle up the dancing. I do hope the idiot who is bragging about meeting JD Vance goes first, but no doubt all the right wing nutjobs will keep him in.

Glad to see the SCD line-up won't drag me in this year, it can be addictive. Celebrity 'Traitors' on the other hand...

Strictly come dancing is about as fresh as a week old full up ashtray left out in the rain . I haven't watched it since Jay McGuiness won who in my opinion is e best winner on the show full stop.

I know Alex Kingston is on this year and Thomas Skinner so one of them to win I suppose if I was at a Ladbrokes .
