It's tiresome, but easy to ignore and, for me, it's a useful warning flag to go nowhere near them for sex: I'm far more interested in bisexual men focussed on sex with other men, rather than discussing vaginas, panties, female celebrities, etc.  | |||

Bisexual men with a preference for women vastly outnumber gay men, supported by countless academic studies, they just don't tend to be 'out'. They are catered to much more because there are more of them. Given gay men and bisexual men who prefer men have such few spaces now, plus are still marginalised and considered taboo by society at large (people can argue against this all they like but there's a reason most bi men are closeted) it's nice when we can have spaces for homosexuality. | |||

It's like a psychotherapists wet dream and it bleeds out in these sorts of debates tbh… This is so well articulated and explained from a gay perspective. Thank you. And there are a great many gay men on the site who will agree with this, even if they don’t lift their heads above the parapet to say so for fear of being shot down. We all have our preferences and we all can skip past things we don’t like. But sometimes there is more to it than that. I can deal with the “look at me in my wife’s knickers” threads and share a site with the many TVs/TSs/CDs here. It’s a totally alien world to me, holding zero interest. It sometimes frustrates me and I can take the mickey. But I need to deal with that - as I am aware it is part of the site: because these are MEN seeking sexual contact with other MEN - even if not they are not the type that I would be seeking myself. But when users make their primary sexual focus as WOMEN in the Forum it seems to be completely against the purpose of the site. And what makes me *genuinely* uncomfortable is the cold misogyny of some of the threads and postings here. Detraction of wives as frigid; seeing women as mere objects over which to ogle a la “spot the camel toe”; objectification and diminution of women. It’s eye-opening. I can’t think of anywhere else on the internet which would allow this type of misogyny to be honest: you don’t even get this below the line on the Daily Mail online. And it too often comes with a latent homophobia. You do wonder if some look to post here because they would be removed from posting such stuff anywhere else. Is a predominantly homosexual-facing website the last vestige for this type of misogyny as it can be camouflaged? Discuss. I didn’t get to age 55, struggling with my own battles to be accepted in society, marching for a presence and being queerbashed in the late 80s, and to be out and comfortable with my own sexuality, now to share a platform with homophobes and misogynists, in the name of some sort of pretend “inclusivity”.
