How many other guys on here have concerns that certain conditions that effect our body, mainly pertaining to its appearance, deters from arranging meets, or feels that this will detract from guys want to meet?

"Me, hate my body."

Try to be kinder to yourself .... In a world where there's enough negativity that might come our way from others, at least be on your own side.

Accentuate the positive, as the old song goes

Well no matter that you can be erudite quoting sociological terms, but the simple fact is that people have always, and will always, have preferences and make judgments about how others look. Can't be helped it's human nature.

The issue it beauty magazines and the media, also the porn industry, on a site like this people have an image of what they should look like and what others should look like too, that well defined body with a big meaty cock, the body shape is achievable of course but that takes time and dedication, from experience, everyone i’ve met has always made comments about how they look and how it can be improved, myself included, yes i’d like to be more defined, yes and love a firmer bum, but i’m 52 now, im old, past it for most on a site like this some will say, lots of people have made comments about me looking good but i always think i don’t, i could do with trimming down, more definition, basically looking at what i eat and getting to the gym, can sort it out if i want to but life just gets in the way, and that’s it for most I think, unless you can dedicate a substantial amount of time for yourself you’re always gunna have this problem.

Yep, and it becomes something that is happening/has happened to you, making it not your fault and releasing you of responsibility for it. We all worry, and that's all it is, you don't get a blue badge for worrying.

Incorrect, people can become extremely obsessive with it. Happens a lot to bodybuilders, who worry about the smallest things on their body, such as they have 9% body fat rather than 8%.

The obsession and distress it causes can lead to other things, such as starving yourself, looking for surgery to ‘fix’ things you’re worried about, etc.

However, I guess with mindfulness, everything can be fixed, magic bullet and all that.

"There's no such thing as body dysmorphia, it's just in your head, no one suffers from it outside of themselves. "

It's a completely ill educated claim that "there's no such thing as body dysmorphia!".

Body dysmorphic disorder is a recognised mental health condition that can cause significant distress and impact daily life of the victim and also those who are in a close relationships with them.

While it's true that the experience of body dysmorphia is internal, the emotional pain and suffering are very real for those who experience it. It's not something that someone can simply 'snap out of' or control through willpower. Compassion, understanding, and professional support can make a big difference in helping individuals manage their symptoms and improve their well-being.

Beauty as they say is in the eye of the beholder. I don't think I look particularly attractive but then again I don't think I'm particularly ugly either. However, I have received compliments and I gladly accept them. Nobody should hate their body, everyone is unique and in a world where we are supposed to look and act in particular ways, we should appreciate the uniqueness of who we are.

The best thing to do is stop comparing yourself to others.

To change anything takes determination and dedication.

Hardly anybody in the world is happy with their body. I just put up enough photos for people to see if it's what they want then if they don't like it they needn't message. I'm surprised how many (the majority?) of people just put up several photos of their cock. Come on, be honest!

I'm also a naturist, a member of a club and I attend several naturist events. At these you see ALL shapes and sizes, possibly with the exception of any "perfect body". That's a good way to gain body confidence.

Different strokes; personally hairy, older sweaty men that are chubby (especially with a beer belly) are quite possibly the sexiest type of guys imaginable to me.

Genuinely have I no attraction to ripped muscular or young guys. I appreciate them aesthetically and as friends but not sexually.

Body dysmorphia isn’t caring about what other people think of your body, it’s the obsession and hyperfixation of how you feel about your own body.

Like with body builders, they have a better physique than 99% of people, but they will obsess over things such as their bicep being 20 inches rather than 22, body fat being 9% rather than 8%.

Things that other people would never even notice, but they will hyper fixate on it.

Drinks can after can of caffeine drinks and always has a big stash of high calorie chics and biscuits

I’ve tried for years to encourage him to look after himself but he refuses to do any exercise if drop his portions.

He’s now hugely overweight and still flatly refusing to do anything about it

I think he has body dismorphia as he won’t go on holiday or sunbathe

It’s sad to see someone you care about throwing their health away

I’ve discussed diabetes with him, even his girlfriend says he has the symptoms but he won’t take a test

We are all just at a loss

26 years old and morbidly obese …but what can you do …he’s adult and just continues with his bad lifestyle

Totally agree! Since childhood, I've been dreadfully aware of my small cock and small tight balls, and never had any body confidence. About 20 years ago I booked a holiday in a real naturist resort - nude 24/7. The first day was hell for me, but nobody laughed at me, nobody pointed, it seemed that nobody cared. I had a fantastic time, totally naked all holiday with lots of other totally naked people. And, believe it or not, some guys even had smaller cocks than mine! Since then, I've visited loads of gay saunas and always get admiring attention. If you want more body confidence, show it off!
