How safe are blowies exactly, I'm married and have experimented a little but I'm terrified of catching something and passing it onto my Mrs, shame because loads of guys want to suck cock but I just can't relax.

There's a risk of getting or passing on STIs if you're giving or receiving oral sex. The risk increases if either of you has sores or cuts around the mouth, genitals or anus. Avoid brushing your teeth or using dental floss before oral sex because it can cause your gums to bleed. Thats from the NHS website same as someone else said i've sucked quite a few in my time and i've not caught anything or giving my wife anything

They are as unsafe as any form of sex. If you can get it from having sex you can get it from sucking on a cock. You could use a condom but not sure how that would go down with the recipient.

There is a risk, but reasonably small, I think.

The only way you're going to get any proper reassurance or be convinced it's definitely something you don't want to do, is to go and chat to someone at your local sexual health clinic. They are discreet and non-judgmental.

Good luck, fella, and I hope you find the information you need.

I have done it with condoms but most guys won't even entertain the idea.

Have you ever had a sexual health screen? The vast majority of STIs are asymptomatic ( no symptoms) in the throat. They usually sit around the tonsil area. Syphilis can have sores anywhere in the mouth. The sores are usually painless so people don’t know they are there. Same if you’re sucking cock. People can have infections without any symptoms.

If you’re concerned. Get regularly tested. It’s all confidential nothing goes on your GP or hospital records.

The only safe sex is no sex. You could minimise your chances of catching anything from another guys cock and cum by using a condom. Not many will agree. Use mouthwash not clean your teeth with a toothbrush as a toothbrush can leave micro scratches on your gums which are like chasms for viruses to fall into. Oral man on man sex is reasonably safe. If you do catch anything make sure you go to a medical person and refrain from ANY sex for at least 2 weeks.

I’ve used condoms for oral for this exact reason, it’s not a popular option and not as much fun, but it does give a level of comfort to guys in our situation

Sucked loads but I also live by the rule of ‘quality not quantity’. All clear.

I’m on PREP now which puts my mind at rest.

I think sucking is classed as ‘low risk’. Obviously the rush goes up if there are sores or abrasions in the mouth of the person sucking.
