It's dawning on me that things have changed, in my experience anyway, so I wonder if anyone else has similar thoughts.

It seems to me that in the early days of the Internet, people would be attracted to another guy and want a meet with them, and generally, what happened would be up for discussion.

The tendency now seems to be the opposite, that a person wants to do X or Y specific things and then looks for someone to them, to perform a service, so to speak.

Does this seem familiar?

Where do you sit in this?

Or am I observing this simply because this website isn't aimed at gay men, it's men who have sex with other men, so attraction isn't the common ground?

I used to think I wanted to do XYZ acts. Now I think it's much more about how you connect sexually and where that'll take you (hopefully to mutually satisfying orgasms of course).

I think it's part of the instant gratification, buy-it-now nature of the world; amazon, deliveroo etc. People seem to try to arrange a meet in the same way as they would choose a pizza.

I have to have some sort of attraction to the person it’s not just about the acts. I’m less bothered about what we do together ultimately I have a wide range of desires and kinks. What I can’t do is just hook up with a guy regardless of looks/personality for sex
