Now Starmer's nemesis and worst nightmare.

And she has Telegraph, TR and Rupert Lowe supporting and financing her.

The over promoted wet wipe is going to be hounded out well before end of next year latest.

Whatever you think about her, she's a big story.

Any journo outfit would want to get time with her.

I've seen one US outfit which are active on social media. They are confident they will also get time to interview her.

What has it got to do with the prime minister?

These are laws which were in place for 14 years under various Tory Prime Ministers, why suddenly is it this prime minister to blame?

Shes going to do well out of this and rightly so. Ridiculous being locked up for a tweet, it wasnt even threatening , she just said she doesn't care what happens to the hotels, there's no law against not caring. Glad shes out and back with her family. Shes going to turn from a councillors wife to a national treasure over this

This was the tweet ‘ Mass deportation now, set fire to all the fucking hotels full of the bastards for all I care, while you're at it take the treacherous government & politicians with them.

I feel physically sick knowing what these families will now have to endure.

Both Rupert Lowe and the odious Farage are making a meal of this. Okay she should never have been jailed in the first place. A suspended sentence, a fine or community work would have been more appropriate.

As for Starmer, useless as he is, I doubt he will be out before the end of the year. Besides what do you replace him with? Rayner, Cooper, Streeting? With a ridiculously large majority and polls suggesting annihilation there is no way there is going to be a general election as much at the Faragites fantasise about it. We are stuck with Labour until 2029.

His words were threatening in my opinion, however, he took the risk in taking it to trial and was cleared by the jury. Lucy Connolly had the right to take it to trial as well, just like Ricky Jones, instead she pleaded guilty.

If she took it to trial, there could have been the chance of her getting a not guilty verdict, but she decided not to, and instead she plead guilty.

I believe she was told that it was unlikely she would get bail and be remanded.

I'm not sure why. There is a presumption of bail in this country. It probably helped Ricky think about his actions and come to the right decision for him.

Should’ve got a better legal team then 😂 end of the day, she pleaded guilty, hence why she got a sentence.

Isn’t difficult to understand, she should remember her actions and words have consequences. If you’re scared to face the consequences, don’t do the said actions or words.

People seem to be forgetting this. The sentence was maybe a little harsh, but she said some horrendous things and encouraged others to commit acts of violence.

As I understood it, there was legislation in place that prevented people such as her from profitting from their crimes, but I can't actually find the appropriate act and section at the moment to quote.

Well said, I think there is a problem when incitement gets a longer sentence than the people actually committing the acts of violence, but it’s absolutely right that people inciting murderous acts should be punished.

Not whataboutery at all but a pertinent question. Big similarities between the two. Whether she was right or wrong Mrs Connelly presumed, or was ill advised, to plead guilty/own up to what she had done. Usually this results in a more lenient sentence. In her case it resulted in a very harsh one. Had she pleaded not guilty and got an unsympathetic jury and a hardline Starmerite judge, she might have got 10 years. Jones took the risk. Amazingly the jury found him not guilty and he got away with it. Little wonder people are talking about a two-tier system.

Poppycock! Yes some extreme far-right would see homosexuality banned, but so would some on the left, especially the hard left. Look at gay rights in communist countries. I don't know about the make-up of the current parliament but the 2019-2024 parliament had the largest number of Conservative LGB MPs that any parliament in the world had. Not exactly a left-wing party.

Little wonder people are talking about a two-tier system."

How exactly is it a two-tier system when she had the right and the chance to take it to trial? She forfeited that and decided to plead guilty.

If Ricky James pleaded guilty, then he may have got a prison sentence also, instead he took it to trial and was found not guilty.

Lucy Connolly had the chance to do that as well, but she (may have been badly advised to), plead guilty.

What exactly is two-tiered about that?

A simple question.

Did you find Ricky Jones words about slitting throats threatening?

I did, but I still don't think words alone would have made me consider him guilty if I was on that jury.

People use whataboutery as a throw away .

It doesn't mean anything. Just one person's view on something.

The issue with Jones was his visual actions and the baying mob around him who were clearly excited by his actions.

Comms people say that visual stuff is much more effective at conveying an impression compared to words only.

Just look at the famous German dictator.

Starmer still thinks he's head of public prosecutions! Interfering in the courts, with judges, increasing sentences this man can't leave the judiciary alone! Lord Harmer Starmers weasel friend had a lot to do with Connellys imprisonment. Read up on him if you can absolutely hates this country and a complete traitor like Starmer. He would bankrupt this country if he could arranging repatriation payments.

We are well on the way to being bankrupt to the point of needing bailout.

16 of the 20 billion overspend in the last recorded month were due to interest repayments on the debt.

It's simply unsustainable and Labour are piling on more.

It is a perceived two-tier system whether it is or not. These two cases have upset an awful lot of people because it sounds like injustice. I do not condone what Mrs Connelly said but I do feel that the sentence was ridiculously harsh. The fact that the odious Jones got away with it has really annoyed a lot of people. Played right into the hands of the Faragites.

Well that is the issue then, the far right do not care much for facts, and neither do they use common sense. Both Ricky & Lucy should have been found guilty, however, one took it to trial and was found not guilty, whereas the latter pleaded guilty.

She incited violence, and she was wrong. The Public need to get a grip and let the government deal with immigration, after all you may have forgot, that's what we pay them to do. The Tories created this problem for political gain and knowing they would lose the election! And Labour would have to sort it.

"

If it wasn't for "the lefties" not only would there not be a fab guys but any interaction any men have with other men would still be illegal

Not exactly a left-wing party."

Lol poppycocks a good saying.

Nobody is hard right anyway. Not wanting a hotel full of unvetted foreign men who have come from a culture of treating women and girls badly on your doorstep isnt hard right. Its common sense.

North London (outer)

Another interesting factor regarding this case is that the wife of a prominent Conservative, the so-called party of Law & Order, was calling for mob rule as a legitimate protest against issues that said Conservative Party had failed to get a grip on during their 14 years in power, under 5 different Prime Ministers.

I say this as a former Conservative voter, but since Cameron it's been a total shit-show.

TBF, as much as I disliked Thatcher and her lot at least they were vaguely competent at governing, even if confrontational and bullying at times.

Cameron was the origin story of the more recent incompetent shower, only got elected by coming across as Blue Blair (although to be fair his biggest achievement was probably gay marriage). But look at the state of the Tories now. Scrabbling like chickens in the dirt for scraps that Farage leaves for them.

Not just the far-right unless you are one of those who see anyone who isn't far-left as far-right. To be fair I [A moderate right-of-centre guy] feel both deserve some kind of punishment. Mrs Connelly's was ridiculously harsh and Jones getting away with it was a farce.

I’m Neither far left nor far right, but agree, both should have been punished but the jury seen Ricky as not guilty.

Yep ppl saying we will need a 1970s style bailout! Guess who be supplying that? Trump! Bet he's rubbing his hands with glee thinking of the interest he charge and how many years take to pay back! Labour going cap in hand to a leader most of them despise in private.
