Hi

I have reached a time in my life were I would like to travel more. I would ideally love an travel companion but I am happy to go alone..

I would appreciate your recommendations for gay friendly holidays destinations and accommodation.

The thought of the long Uk winter ahead fills me with dread so hopefully jet off somewhere warm and sunny. I’m not so young anymore so not looking for a party destination, somewhere interesting and relaxing will be perfect..

Always enjoyed the company of older guys so I would be happy to share accommodation to keep costs down a little, if anyone is also interested…

Thanks for reading. x

Sorry, can't recommend anywhere yet but I do find myself in the same position as you. I do rather fancy trying Wellhorny's guest house in Blackpool, although I appreciate that's not very exotic and probably won't deliver the weather 😂

Solo travel is lovely, have done Turkey solo for a month, and travelled around Pakistan and thailand with one friend.

Gay holiday destinations, I’d say Sitges & Gran Canaria

I don’t mind travelling solo, and enjoy just doing my own thing. But even when I go to places like Playa del Ingles or Benidorm, I miss company and conversation in the evening before hitting the cruise bars for sex.

If anyone is up for city breaks to places like Berlin or Amsterdam, then msg me. All no-strings of course. Also some winter sun in Gran Canaria is in my plans…

I’m already on NM. For me. September is too early to be going to GC.

I travel on my own loads. Love it. Freedom to do my own thing at own pace. Struggle to go away with other people now.

I really fancy another cruise but solo this time. There doesn't seem to be a lot of companies that cater for solo travellers as prices are generally per cabin.

I can recommend Fuerteventura as a great destination that covers what you’re looking for; particularly in the north of the island. There’s loads of beaches to get naked on and there’s lots of places that are known for being gay friendly, but not a heavy party island. I’ve been there loads of times as a solo traveler, although it was before I started meeting guys.

I travel solo loads in this country.

Booking.com etc, can get loads of nice apartments at reasonable prices.

Gives you the freedom to do what you're intrests are. But also the option of meeting someone local to where you go/stay

Have you thought about walking / cycling holidays? There are many, and although they do charge a single supplement, it sometimes isn't that horrendous

I have also been on quite a few cruises on my own

Happy travelling

I like travelling solo as you can absolutely please yourself. The least pleasant bit for me is dinner in the evening when I feel a bit self conscious. A meal at lunchtime is much easier and if you go half board in a hotel it’s not really an issue either. The odd downside is worth it if it means you get away for a holiday. Sharing is not always a barrel of laughs either. Give it a try and see how you get on. Good luck x

Try and Intrepid or G Adventures holidays , go on your own and join a group ,best of both worlds , time to yourself and mix with the others but never any pressure.

I travel solo a lot, like others have said, gives you the freedom to do what you want, seek company or just relax by yourself.

There are lots of places to go as a solo traveller, happy adventuring!
