Why do so many people put looks above maturity? Looks fade, but how someone carries themselves lasts. Isn’t maturity worth more?

I may have said a face pic is mandatory on another post, it's always good to see who you're going to play with, but I still believe maturity is more important than looks.

You put the comma in the wrong place.

Looks and age are not the same thing. It is quite possible to have two people of the same age, height and build and be attracted to one and not the other. There are different things in a person’s features that one individual will be attracted to and someone else will not.

I believe that there were some experiments that were carried out, where people were shown two almost identical photos of the same person and were asked to pick which one they found more attractive. Most people picked the same picture - and that was the one with the dilated pupils (that was the only difference between the two pictures). For some reason people find that more attractive than pupils that look like piss holes in the snow 🫢

I’m glad one of us is.

Carping miserability is rarely hot, those are very niche kinks.

Looks are nice, but someone being an unsorted, chaotic arsehole is a deal-breaker. Not specifically related to age but generally older people have their shit more together.

Depends if you're just looking for someone to play with your willy or a husband.

Also not sure how one might convey 'maturity' via a few lines of text and some pics on a hook-up site.

Surely everyone has their own preferences and weigh up what they want/prefer over other things

I’m all about connecting and looks, size, cock are less important, need to feel turned on

I don’t find guys looks attractive and a turn on

Agree with you, everyone has their own preferences and my preferences change according to the guy and the situation.

It’s about the connection, whether that includes looks, maturity, cock, ass varies from guy to guy

We all respond to physical stimulus so in the first instance thats what matters. Other feelings and emotions are generally predicated on that.

Looks first, personality second. However, no matter how good looking and handsome the guy is, if he’s a thick uneducated bore, I’m not wasting my time with him.

Regards op, none of them if I'm looking to fuck I like a slim bubble butt.

I don't mix attraction, personality with meets, as long as what they don't bs job done.

Every time I've opened the door with guys, emotionally and taking a step more than a fuck, they bs take the piss etc.

Keep it simple friends or fucks

on here? looks will always come first, doesn’t matter if you’re mature and all grown up, the guy with the 9” cock and washboard stomach who comes across as an arrogant prick will win hands down.

It depends exactly what you mean and how you define these things. Otherwise it’s a meaningless and artificial counterbalance.

Maturity in what sense? Age? Senescence? Most guys on here are not seeking nonagenarians but they will be the most mature on the site…

“… how someone carries themselves…” is not necessarily related to maturity. Do you mean confidence? Poise? Self-awareness?

A lad in his 20s - looking a bit older and not trying to twinkify himself - confident, bit of swag, banter - has been around a bit and knows what he likes… This can be as sexy as fuck and much more attractive than some jejune and sexually inexperienced 50yr old no matter how much other life experience and depth he may have.

And we all need to have some initial level of basic physical attraction to someone in order that we look a second time.

So this would be the type of guy I look at but would soon stop talking to if they couldn’t maintain a basic conversation. So they might win the first fight, but not the battle (as it were).
