"On current form they'd give your world famous man utd a serious game,in fact the last 10 or 12 years same thing." One legged blind team could beat manure but Celtic are dreadful they would really struggle in English championship

"I'm a Lincoln fan but Celtic get 60,000 fans for every home game in a piss poor league. If they played in the EPL they'd have to extend their ground to about 90,000 and they would also be hundreds of millions of pounds a year better off. English football fans saying Celtic (and Rangers to a lesser extent) wouldn't compete in the EPL are talking nonsense. " All they have to do if they feel their future is in the “English” leagues. They can apply to join the Cumbria FA. Resign from the SFA. Then they can work their way to the top just like every other team under FA jurisdiction. I doubt they have that kind faith in their own abilities though

Given the financial resources of the EPL both teams would do well.

I understand the point you are trying to make but it is not well served by the example you give

They have to play by the rules down here. There is a pyramid system and clubs have to earn their place within it. Could you imagine them getting parachuted into league 1. Someone in league 2 would miss out on a promotion and prize money and subsequently every league below it would be affected. I would imagine the FA would be involved in litigation for years to come. Scottish Football has made allowances and pandered to them for years. The English leagues have to need to and wouldn’t. Most clubs in England wouldn’t want the arrogant sectarianism of their fans anyway. No if they want to play in the big pond they would have to earn their place within it. That means starting at the bottom

"The point is that Celtic fans continually give it large when, in effect, they're winning a one-horse race with no real competition. Boring, safe, within their comfort zone and now, following the disaster yesterday, found out and embarrassing." ... ... 🇮🇪 Utter nonsense. We support our team and enjoy success just as supporters of any other team do. It's a way of life. Giving it large in the opinion of someone who supports his own team without emotional engagement. Someone who is happy enough with his team underachieving season after season. As for the Op, why is it always the hotties?
