I've always found it a safe and tolerant city though there are areas where you need to exercise caution late st night line any other large metropolis. Will be there again at Christmas

Forget all the sex stuff and instead enjoy all the beautiful parks and forests within the city, go up the devils mountains built from Berlin war rubble and now a recreation area, take a drive out east to the flower covered Seelow heights.

I actually worked on the base at the top of Devils mountain or Teufelsberg as it was called back in 1985

I was a soldier there from 84 to 88, what a brilliant posting that was
