Problems using Veet

I recently decided to reduce my prolific pubes. Using an electric razor’s clipper works fairly well, but I thought Veet cream was worth trying, and it says it’s suitable for sensitive skin.

I carefully followed all the instructions, including using the pre/post foam and intervals. The small test area stung slightly after a total of 4 minutes, but worked well. When I did a larger area yesterday it was very painful indeed, and whatever I tried just made it worse, so I ended up taking painkillers, which helped.

My ball sack is still a bit sore and very red, but I’m now able to use E45 moisturiser on it.

I definitely used it correctlyi, so the remaining Veet is going in the bin!

Thanks for advice. The good news is that everything is still functional, although I’ll avoid sexual contact for a few days (unless I just suck someone).

I stopped using sensitive very years ago as it can burn and I certainly never but it in my balls ouch!

I tend to use a tucking tape when I go out to give myself a flatter front and when removed will remove any hairs but mostly a good 5 blade razor and careful shaving helps keep the stragglers away

Good luck in your endeavours OP x

Personally I’ve never had a problem with beer sensitive I find I have to leave it on for 10 mins for it to be effective.

Some people are unfortunately just sensitive to the chemicals in it. If it’s causing you pain then sounds like you need to stick to shaving.

I use veet and have never had that reaction, just a tingle and never a burning sensation. Definitely use sudocream to help avoid infection given it is your beaty swollocks.

I agree we are supposed to be hairy, but my pubes grow half way up my shaft and can get up to six inches long, which makes my pubic area look more like a tribble and you can't even see my teeny tiny peen. It is much more appetising when it looks like a novelty plucked chicken.

Did you read the full instructions. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a mention of not to be used in intimate areas.

Maybe they should clear and just write don't use on your cock, balls, fanny or arsehole.

That's what I use hair conditioner far better than shaving foam.

Just have to be careful

Epilating! Expensive but awesome results.

I have and continue to use this for hair removal. I have the Braun epil 9 sensor smart. Burnt my sack 20 years ago using veet. Still sore lol

Try veet intimate for men. Specifically for the public area. First use leave in for 10 mins, then wash off using a flannel whilst in the shower.

After that use it for no longer than 5 mins.

I use Veet from the pound shop occasionally. Seven minutes and not a moment longer works for me with no nasty side effects.

If you Google veet usage problems a very funny story pops up concerning ice cream cooling on the bollocks and frozen fruit up the bum to relieve pain. Worth a read.

Veet intimate for men doesn't burn, so it's specifically for men, I think just normal veet is different.

The leading pharmaceutical store stocks a brand called nads. Might be worth a try. I’ve been and got some myself today. Problem with the one that rhymes with Feet is the smell. It stinks. And it stings.

I think the solution is to wax the area, just ask the ladies who they trust and use.

You don’t even need to do that. Get some of the DIY wax strips that they sell in Tesco. I’ve often used them

I’ve never had any issues, no sensitivity even after 19-12 minutes application. We’re all different. Goes to show how important it is to test on a small area first.

Veet leaves a strange smell, but have only used it for the time listed on/in the box and didn't have any problems.

Waxing at a salon is a much better finish & didn't hurt anything like I had expected

Apart from those 4 or 5 that have gone against nature and somehow grown 5 times longer than the others!

I´ve used it down below but same-for less time than stated.

My number one problem after shaving, veeting or even clipping is grow back - its usually sore as feck and always get a rash/spots or something.

In my experience Veet leaves you with red raw skin that not even Sudocrem can soothe and as much hair on your nads as was there before you started. Horrible stuff.

I've used veet sensitive and veet for men. I've never got burnt, even after leaving it on for a few minutes longer than recommended but it's never worked for me either. I've just ended up shaving. I suppose we all react differently.

Hurts like hell on broken skin and if left on too long
