I went a few years ago, it was a lovely place. Paid a taxi driver to be my chauffeur for 10 days, and take me to all the places he would go if he could. Had a great time meeting local people, and I’m still in touch with the driver and a few others.

My least favourite island to visit in the Caribbean. Felt uneasy everywhere except in the resort.

Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, Tobago, Cuba and some smaller islands all more preferable for me.

But I do hope you enjoy it.

Went last year to Negril to a RUI hotel. Going again next year. Loved it. The people are so friendly too. But you shouldn’t leave the confines of your hotel unless on an organised trip.
