It's 50 year today (19/9/75) since the first episode was shown on Television. Now what was you favourite episode.

"When he thrashes his car with a branch x"

Many years ago, I owned the sort of vehicles. I have felt the same frustration and wanted to do the same.

First time I saw it, I had one of the greatest laugh at it, it brought back memories

It's of its time. Hilarious the first time. I bought a DVD from a charity shop. I can't watch it now. It's excruciating

Gotta be the Mrs Richards one.

And to think there were only 12 (2 series of 6) episodes made! Unbelievable.

Bit dated now, but still a good laugh.

My bad.

OK, the one where Basil and Manuel are trying to catch a chandelier in a bed sheet, but the Major loosens the wrong bolt in the ceiling and a different chandelier crashes down

Waldorf Salad, and The Germans. Both ridiculous stereotypes but still stupidly funny.

Like most 50 year olds, it’s of a certain vintage and past it’s best.

If you can tolerate levels of political incorrectness that are distinctly non-21st century, it remains absolute peak cringe hilarious. The Office could not have been made without its inspiration, to name just one.

It would be fun to see it remade now with Basil as a rabid Farage fan.

I think it still beats any comedy today has to offer.
