County & a bit beyond!

Recently in large city with two big saunas.

Tried both.

Underwhelmed by the experience!

Both poorly attended & the men that there were there were clicky….not ideal for shy, reserved bumkin from the sticks.

Can’t beat time in bed with a partner with whom you’ve set out the ground rules beforehand. Hours of slow intense pleasures lying ahead. In the sauna he up’s & off’s after a few minutes in the expectation of a better conquest!

Not to be repeated easily.

It all depends on your style I guess. I am a big fan of Touch Naked Tuesday and have never come away with full balls. In a world of my own

I’ve been a number of times to my local one in Stourbridge, small but always friendly and ‘pressure free’ venue.

This sauna was my first introduction into my gay life, as I wanted a venue that allowed me to be surrounded by guys, who wanted to be there naked and be seen and if possible I could approach and be intimate without fear of falling foul of reading the signals incorrectly elsewhere?

I haven’t been for a while as problems with the heat and humidity within played havoc with my blood pressure, lowering it to a point where I was near passing out or giving me embarrassing nose bleeds!

Would like to pay a return visit though as I enjoyed the spectacle of naked guys walking around and the sex available or witnessed!

I am also a regular at Touch, especially Naked Tuesdays which is usually busy however, yesterday was unusually quiet for a Tuesday, I did get to play with some guys but not to the same level as normal. I am like the OP in that I prefer nice long bed sessions, however at the Sauna I become a different animal, I aim for some sort of sexual contact from as many men as possible which means a bit of a play then move on to the next guy, the lasty thing you want to do is blow your load with the first guy you meet, this is normal sauna behaviour, yet the OP seems to have taken this personally.

It's not stupid at all, I tend to forget that being gay and single the first time I decided to go to a gay sauna was easy for me and didn't really take much thinking about and that my situation is not the same as a not out bisexual men, especially if they have a partner or wife.

I think they are a safe place to go, far better than cruising and in the colder weather much more comfortable.

Saunas are ideal if you're married; they're very convenient if you can't accomm or inflexible when you can meet.

No need to find them 'terrifying'; once you're in you'll quickly settle down.

I've been to saunas in Eagles in Cardiff (now closed) lots of times, the one in Newport is my regular, but also visited saunas in Brighton, Northern Ireland and the Greenhouse in Darlaston.

I think Darlaston is my favourite, but can only get there once-or-twice a year when work takes me past there.

That's exactly what I did first time, I'm quite shy when it comes to making moves and starting conversations but I felt right at ease and very quickly found my feet. I perhaps go far too often now.

I do love a good sauna! A lot of guys do seem to struggle with the thought of going to one, the hardest part is walking through the door for the first time, once you’re through the door it’s all fun from there and your only regret will be not having done it sooner. All saunas have hit or miss days, it’s all down to when guys are available to go, I’ve never been disappointed in all my years of going.
