I hear Kier Starmer is now recognising the Palestine area as a State or Country. Is this a game changer?

"I hear Kier Starmer is now recognising the Palestine area as a State or Country. Is this a game changer?"

No.... just gesture politics to placate the Left. Hamas do not want a two state solution, they want to eradicate the state of Israel and the Jews.

Months ago Starmer called for the return of the hostages (sausages!!). The hostages haven't been returned. That shows what little influence he has. The world can see what a weak leader he is.

Literally posting a new thread for attention while the previous one on exactly the same topic is still on page 1.

You're really fuckin sad, do you know that?

OK, just checked and it's moved to page 2 because nobody commented for three hours. Maybe it's all been said and people got bored?

Aaaaand, it's back on page 1.

You even resurrected it yourself. So what exactly is the point of this dupli-thread?

Attention seeking.

Immense boredom.

A mind like a fritillary in a high wind.

A mixture of all 3?

"A mind like a fritillary in a high wind."

Now that is quite the metaphor.

I could add a mind like a "professional" rep in a suit asked to prove his credentials by dismantling and reassembling the machines he's trying to sell.

I did actually once know one of those who could walk the walk though, so maybe an unfair comparison.

It's not a metaphore, it's a simile.

no but it might just be a long shot and vote winner in future election,, he will kiss anything to win votes

Although _lackbootz did use the word "like", which is generally regarded as a signpost to a simile, I'd also cite the dictionary definition of a metaphor:

a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.

So comparing an attention-seeking mind to a butterfly in a storm kinda fits. And now I'm not sure I can even be arsed any more

Palestine needs all the help it can get before it is completely levelled and sold to the highest bidder.

Possibly, unless one wants to wipe the other off the face of the earth, and the second just wishes to eradicate the first completely.

Recognition of Palestine won’t do much for these who are being slaughtered daily in this genocide by the wanted criminals leading Israel. Why is Starmer carrying on arming these thugs when it is clearly against the wishes of the people?

The ICC has issued warrants for Netanyahu and his accomplices to face charges of GENOCIDE and the whole world can see that’s exactly what it is.

I’m afraid you are wrong, in this instance he who is paying the piper is the US and UK taxpayers and they are being ignored. Why is it tolerated for Starmer to be a Friend Of Isreal and accept huge sums from them while he holds the position of UK PM?
