Ive been to Bali several times. Beautiful, but not as idyllic as I expected. Beaches are a bit crap cos of big tides. As for fun, just bear in mind that although Bali is laid back, you're in Indonesia, with strict Islamic laws. Plenty of Australians and Europeans there.

Yes, but the law is Indonisian. Its not a place for hedonistic free for alls and publid displays was my point. There's plenty of gay friendly bars in the tourist areas.
