Today - The conjuring last rites

Same old same old, not that good if I'm honest.

Conjuring. It was ok. A couple of scares but not as good as the earlier ones. Glad they’re finishing the series.

Saw Weapons the week before. That was a really fresh take on horror.

I've heard mix reviews what was your opinion?

I thought it was fairly decent and stayed pretty true to the original short story, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to go (i.e. to see how it compared). It felt a bit low-budget (maybe it was) but I thought the relationships between the walkers was quite well drawn out but I was a little disappointed in some aspects. The film-makers didn't shy away from the brutality of what 'getting your ticket' meant. I'd give it 6/10. No need to see it on the big screen - you could easily wait until it arrives on the small screen and not lose anything IMO.
