It depends, I've worked in offices where you just wouldn't fart in front of your co-workers and offices where it's part of the office banter and letting one rip when there were no women in the office was common place, i now work from home so i can fart whenever I like.

I oftens need to fart when at work so I just nip to the gents to a cubicle, or a urinal if no cubicles available then let rip there, as long as there isn’t a close work buddy stood next to me at the urinals haha. I work from home most days now anyway so that isn’t an issue.

Working in the building trade, i prefer to go an say hello to one of the other trades onsite when my flatulance is particularly sulphuric and of the silent variety, then walk away once satisfied its not coming with me
