Is it just me or are dating apps shit?

A few weeks ago I bought an Iphone ( I know, I should be shot ) as I was going down to Sussex. I missed the last train & downloaded Scruff.

The problem I have, the guys on there are really nice ( & it's a more user friendly than some ) but... I can't just meet someone at the drop of a hat.

It's not that apps are ''bad'' it's just most guys want to meet asap & for me that's simply not practical. OK I'm a recluse & never liked the real-world gay scene anyway but... are guys just too impatient now?

Yes and no, it depends what you are looking for and also to an extent location.

It's no different to going down the pub - you don't strike conversation with everyone, someone might not be to your liking if you do etc etc.

Ultimately they are a tool, not a solution.

Maybe there's a gap for two apps one for instant gratification: you'll do, probably better than a wank.

another for reasonable people, with lives: sex scheduler.

Hopefully GenZ will rediscover cruising, and open gay bars that are actual gay bars and put an end to all this nonsense.
