Given that they had a handful of MPs before reform had one and significant council representation , while still little more than "the lib dems with green credentials", how do people see them now with a new leader, who's actively taking the center left and championing economic and social policy that go far beyond recommending investments in solar energy?

A ward in Brighton has recently just got a Green councillor. We used to have a Green MP, Caroline Lucas.

Always give them my “second” vote is Scottish Elections as we have a form of PR

At General elections I tend to go who I want to govern as it’s a bit all in

I think PR actually has a chance of success if people chase for it now. The main parties facing anialation without it.

I often vote green in local elections, but as yet we haven't had a green councillor.

The leader of the Green Party of England & Wales Zak Polanski is the first openly gay leader of a UK political party.

He is certainly taking the fight to Dire Kier Starmer and pulling away the left supporters from Labour.

I think the General Election will certainly be sooner than later and PR may be bought in before the election to try and save Labour & Tories from annihilation at the ballot box

Why would the GE sooner rather than later Labour have an enormous majority and there is no incentive for them to call an early GE. PR would make things 10x worse because Reform ltd would end up with even more seats than they have now. People need to realise Reform Ltd are a very dangerous threat to us all. If we come out of the ECHR it wouldn’t be just immigrants that suffer it will be anyone who suffers it will be all of us.

Why is it that all these so called "green" policies want to turn the countryside grey or brown, and just seem designed to destroy the environment. EVs, and windfarms are two obvious examples.

Wishful thinking on all points. Not so sure that anyone is taking a lot of notice of Zak Polanski. Hardly a household name. Until you mentioned it I doubt I could have come up with a name even though I knew what he looked like and had read some strange stories about him.

A lot will depend on whether Corbyn's new party has an impact or disintegrates as to where the Labour left will go.

Doubt there will be a general election before the Spring of 2029 unless Eform's bubble bursts and there is a massive revival for Labour in opinion polls.

As for PR I very much doubt this parliament will introduce it. Had we had it at the last election Labour would have only got around 225 seats instead of the 400+ they actually got.

The stop oil brigade haven't helped the greens cause in my opinion.

Having a cause is fine but stopping traffic, inconveniencing the public destroying artwork and disrupting sporting events won't make you any friends.

Politics is about perception and the greens will be lumped in with this bunch

Obvious? Whilst I agree that EVs are not a realistic answer, just a continuation polluter, and that much more could be done via planning to make new buildings self sufficient be that via solar or wind or both on the roof, I still don’t see the countryside turning brown.

We have a Green MP: Carla Denyer. i voted for her in the last GE - it was a tactical vote, and a departure from my usual choice of Labour.

I was deeply unenthusiastic about Starmer, and i was not going to give my vote to Labour Friend Of Israel Thangam Debbonnaire.

Lib Dems struggle here, due to long memories of the last time we had one as an MP, during the appalling LibDem/Tory coalition. He was the abysmally useless Stephen Williams, who still infests local politics like a fungoid infection.

The rest, including Tories, were complete no-hopers.

It would be good to have a truly representative voting system, rather than the outdated, corrupt and manipulable system we have now. But there is little hope of it, since that system suits both major parties far too well for them to vote to change it.
