Anyone know of any good, active LGBTQ forums, I don't feel I can talk candidly about what I'm going through on a hook up site forum, I did start a thread the other day but it got taken down, I guess the moderators felt it was going in to extremely sensitive territory. I've registered on one but should've checked the activity first as the site gets a post every 2 or 3 weeks, I've tried to register with another site but even though it look busy I get registration errors.

Google LGBTQ Switchboard you can contact them in numerous ways including a chat mode from 10am everyday

They are very nice understanding non judgemental people, who are trained to listen, help, and advise

I should imagine that Reddit would be a good place to look. I subscribe to quite a few groups on there, but not LBTQ.

I don't think many forums/chat groups exist online much anymore.

A lot of people look for instant response or gratification now, so there does seem to be less of a need.

I think they'd still be important though.

Just a thought, but have you checked for a local “Andy’s Man Club”. Don’t know if it would be appropriate to your circumstances, but it may be an IRL option. Also the Samaritans may be able to help and advise other local resources that are appropriate to you.

Hi, thank you, I'm not necessarily looking for support groups, I'm more looking for an online community that is specifically for LGBTQ people to communicate with each other outside of a sex based forum like this.

Yeah, I think you've read more in to that than you perhaps should, that was more of a I won't rule them out in certain situations thing, I certainly don't prefer TVs, I have played with TVs but in general, most of the time, not my cup of tea.

Have you tried Facebook. I'm a member of a few groups. Some focus on social meets (group meetups - dinner, coffee, theatre), some combine social with a hobby like board games or tennis , some are purely online. The main point is interactions with the community outside of sex but if you get along with someone that's always an option I suppose.

See what's in your area. You can be part of a group but not attend in person if you want. They're quite relaxed and free.
