Tea leaves...

Not, I'm not talking about Rachel Thieves.

In the morning I make a pot of tea using leaves and then take upstairs to drink tea in bed.

However, my best Micasa teapot unfortunately broke after a few years and I couldn't find a teapot that particular size. So, I used a cafetiere and not only does the tea taste great , I don't need a strainer.

How do others brew a perfect cup?

In afternoons I do the lazy way,I use tea bags. Lol. ☕

near herne bay....ish

You can’t beat a decent cup of tea.

Especially when it’s the perfect cup & you let out a big sigh after the last drop

St Leonard's on Sea

I take the lazy option and teabags.

But I still leave half an inch of tea in bottom of cup where the tea leaves would of settled.

I have never finished a whole cup of tea

I only drink chai tea and always out of a drinking flask.

The tea bags stays in so I get a lovely infused drink that's always hot.

One uses tea bags to make tea 🫖

Can’t be bothered with all that faff and mess from loose leaf tea, but each to their own

Has to be decaf tea from either Waitrose or M&S

Yorkshire tea is now using plant based bags and it taints the flavour of the tea.....I will have to find a strainer and empty the bags into a pot

Why not buy the Yorkshire loose tea? About £2.50 a bag.

Much easier.

I blend it with M&S strong tea. Brew a minimum of 4-5 minutes.

Tea strainers a £1 from poundland.

Medium teapot £10 from John Lewis or many in charity shops

Loose leaf tea (red or gold blends) in a glass strainer pot. Love the way when you pour from the thin spout it starts out pale then the colour gets richer once the flow starts.

Also, milk after tea.

My larger teapots have built-in strainers but with a smaller pot I just use a tea strainer.

My friend told me that the best way to make a cup of tea was to agitate the bag and that he always slaps his wife on the arse and says "tea "

Little bits of tea leaves often find their way out of a cafetiere I found.

Does a tea bag contain enough tea for a mug of tea or just a tea cup?
