As a regular user of cockrings I would suggest you start with a silicone one - easy to get on and off for the beginner and in my experience they tend to be smaller because they stretch.

I've bought a metal one. Unfortunately I didn't know how to measure properly and bought a 40mm one. I can't even get both balls through it. I find it difficult to believe the biggest I can find is 50mm would make much difference. Is there a way of properly checking for right size.

I bought a metal cock ring and the site offered an instructional video on how to work out the correct diameter.

Basically you need to measure the combined circumference of your balls and shaft, at the base where the ring will be positioned once fitted. Use a piece of string or a flexible tape measure to measure the exact circumference, when flaccid. To calculate the correct diameter you divide the circumference by {¬z4A=¬} (3.142).

It is the only time in my life I have used the formula, since studying for my GCSE Maths O level as a teenager!!

It can give you a much harder erection.

Also can help a guy maintain his erection for longer.

Doesn't work for everyone I guess.

Caution should be exercised too. Shouldn't be too tight as it could cause injury. Hence some guy's prefer silicone or rubber over a metal one.
