Often men message me that they want to meet. They seem very suitable but they are almost never getting round to meeting me. This is happening more and more. Meets are becoming more unlikely. Please comment.

It's the same here where I live. Perhaps that's how they get off. They're probably the same ones who said during Covid, what a pity the restrictions stop us meeting.

When a guy says he's on his way I keep checking the distance between us. If it starts to reduce then I get interested. If it stays the same then I just chuckle to myself and think, oh yes, another no show.

I had one last week.

Was in another hotel less than a mile away. Was all organised, he was leaving, then he went silent. Messaged a couple of days later to say he’d miraculously “gone down with something” within 5 mins of chatting. He’d obviously got a better offer.

I always think they’ve done me a favour. It’s obvious the sex would have been a huge disappointment.

With me it the fact that a lot of guys just do not read your profile information i get a lot of guys contact me for immediate meets even though im pretty upfront tgat i have partial caring responsibility for my mum who lives 200 miles away from me and i also have a job to juggle. Get a lot of rude comments as to why i just cannot meet at the drop of a hat eventhough its posted on my profile. Do wish i was more available but shit happens.

It isn't usually difficult to identify the likely time wasters relatively easily.

If you're constantly and repeatedly having trouble, then unfortunately the problem is most likely also partly with you.

Its easy now ,when there was no internet it was more difficult to get meetings, contact mags personal columns in newspapers. People went to a lot of trouble back then it was also illegal to have gay sex. So men were more serious about things x

I have been on this site for years on a few different profiles (.. guilt always got to me, hence the change in profiles). I can honestly say that people have changed. There are more people who are economical with the truth and there are those who just want to get off and fantasies. It used to bother me but now I have a very healthy blocked list! This is not me being miserable or anything...I just can't stand disingenuous people x

The site is riddled with dreamers, fantasists, timewasters, non-genuine people and absolute fraudsters who pretend that they want to meet but have never had any intention of meeting…..they get a thrill out of messing people around. However, if you are willing to persevere and wade through all of the bullshit there are some lovely, genuine people out there who do actually meet. As bad as this place is, I don’t think there is anywhere better.

Slightly different perspective. I really really struggle to get away from home to meet anyone. I get a fair few requests to meet but when I say I am too busy and don’t want to waste your time, the responses are 99% polite and understanding. The odd one blocks but being honest on here does actually appear to work. Anyway, just saying something different.

Sometimes it comes down to having the time to meet especially if some of us work through the day and then have home commitments at night. I’d love to meet more guys but it’s not easy due to the above however i tend to find that most guys are understanding of this and will continue to chat until the time suits us both and we can actually meet face to face.

It's a chat site although I'm guilty of refusing to meet ,however it does say in my profile should anyone bother to read it. Time wasters and pranksters, made me decide not to travel to meet anyone anymore.the final straw was when I arranged to meet a guy at his place and a little old lady looking rather confused and answered the door .I just go to saunas and take it from there these days .as I said its all in my profile. X

I think the pandemic was a massive adjustment and people found other ways to satisfy their urges and rather than cone back to reality they take the self-catering route as its quicker, cleaner and less involved. Grindr was bad, but it's fallen off a cliff, try initiating anything in there, if you get a response, it's usually two sentences, then nothing

I do like to chat and engage with people, but I never promise or arrange a meet unless I'm going to go through with it.

Sometimes they lose interest, maybe it's not moving quick enough for them or one or the other says something that jars, but that's always well before making any promises.

If I've got an address, a time and a date, it's going to happen.
