It doesn't matter so much where they are from. I trust people in my neighborhood because of my experience. The city council recently bought a very nice house nearby to house 2 young people who were County Lines kids. Until they have been here a while I wouldn't go near them. What I said was that having a bit of pride is absolutely great to do. By why did no one think of doing it until people who were already racist little shits tell them to start doing it? The issue is not the pride. It’s the reasons driving it, and those reasons were and are, in this instance, transparently racist and led by racist people for racist intentions. The people doing the work in general aren’t racist, but they are being put to work by those who are and their national pride is being mobilised by the racists for their aims.
