I've always wanted one.

Not that I worry about what other people think, but of course I do worry that it'll just look sad and old as I get even older.

I got an ear pierced at like 35 or something and that was too late as well. Couldn't be arsed with maintaining it so let it grow back.

I'll be the outlier when they do my post mortem and it's like "what, no ink?"

sad and tragic? why would you think that?

I pondered for almost a decade before getting my first one in my late 40s, and the second one i got in july, wouldn’t say they’re sad or tragic, just not for everyone.

"Is it sad and tragic?

Either/neither and a whole load of views on "getting a tattoo after 40," none of which matter a jot, I suspect, to most of those choosing to mark their skin.

Please promise me that it won't be in your face/neck or inner firearm

Remember if it involves script, read it at least twice before he starts inking. .mistakes are forever

But first of all ask yourself. Do you really want to look like Beckham or Robbie Williams ????

Ok terrified that if reform get in they will take us back 60 years, as in, instead of sorting out what everyone is really upset about, they will focus on awful things like banning gay marriage, rights, pride bans, bans on trans people using toilets of their resigned genders, banning trans in the military and stuff of this ilk, spending time changing things that don't need touching but not focusing on stuff that everyone is really bothered about like securing the NHS for the future, potholes, cost of living, energy prices other things like that

I posted yesterday on here and someone sent me private message to say, go away lefty pushover, and blocked me second they sent it, wtf. I'm not against changes, I'd be happy for something else as ruling party but I don't want whoever gets on to undo the progress made in the lgtb etc world, that's all, whoever gets in, why would any of us, particularly us on here, want rights removed, are there seriously gay guys on here then that actually want a ban on gay marriage, section 28 back, pride banned and one thing after another? I am not for one section saying that is deffo what will happen if reform get in, all I was saying was I don't want, if they do get in to focus on that stuff, they don't need to fix what ain't broke, they need to focus on all the other important national issues, not focus on anything at all, I hope not, like reversing any gay rights or abortion rights, but to even say this I am some evil lefty apparently that needs to go away. Also I didn't post this in this forum it was on the chat on the forum about the government, so why mt private message and block me put it on the tattoo one I don't know. He put in his private message to me before blocking me "Yet another brainwashed, cowardly leftie pushover. Go away." All I want is nothing to be made worse by reform or any party against anyone and the gay community, why is that a bad thing? If reform are happy to keep women's rights as they are and gay rights as they are and no undo any of it then all good.

Started getting a full back tattoo about 35 years ago. Got two thirds of the outline done in two sittings. Was told it would take 5 or 6 sittings to complete. Got a new job and moved away from the area. Was always planning to get it finished but never did and never will now which is a shame.

Ah, both mine are inner forearms as it's not so hairy there and I wanted them to be seen when I'm in a t-shirt, but able to be covered easily. Hopefully neither are pseudo-intellectual claptrap, both are pictures with no writing.

Bromsgrove

Started aged 21 with 2 tattoos. Both on forearms.

Next tattoo wasn't until 30 years later.

When I had the money.

Many of mine done at various conventions.

Even standing naked on stage to show the entire oriental art.

In the competition.

Had several pieces included in tattoo magazines.

Like Skin Deep and Total Tattoos.

I only ever wanted a large dragon.

Last tattoo was last year in a studio in Liverpool

I'm just had my 66th birthday

Have a look at my profile.

Sadly due to photo hunters.

I've reduced my photos considerably

For those who would love to see more.

Just ask.

Unlikely though if you have no photos yourself

I've considered getting a tattoo many times over the years, but each time it's been the same story...

1. Design a tattoo.

2. Put it away for six months, to see if I still like it.

3. Hate it and wonder what I was thinking of.

There is just one, single slogan, that I keep coming back to. If I ever get it done, then I think I'd like the basic design in plain black, but coloured with UV reactive ink.

"Is it sad and tragic?

Iv never been at all interested in tattoos as they don't do anything for me and had my theory that if you don't know what to have/ where to have or why then you shouldn't have one, there's no need , then my lad wanted one as a present, I wasn't happy but paid for it and went with him for something to do , while I was waiting a song came on that I loved and it had family meaning to me so I had the title tattooed and some dates and now I actually rather like it, so much so I'm going to add rest of family to it, it's not a trophy but in my head I tell myself that when I'm cremated it will be all I can take with so it makes me happy, no midlife crisis was involved just a time and a place scenario for me , there should be no judges for or against just go with your own thoughts
