I have one surviving stepsister. We were brought up together when our parents married and I was 8 and she was 11. Strange girl. Initially thought she resented me as a sort of 'cuckoo in the nest'. We seemed to get on quite well in our 40s and onward. Having said that she is a bit of a user. I've gone and stayed with her when she's been hospitalised yet we also seem to have long silent periods where she won't speak to me. The longest was 7 years. Last time we spoke was Christmas Eve 2023. No idea what I've done wrong but she's ignored my phone calls. That's women for you. Weird species. Oddly enough we do exchange Christmas and birthday cards.
