The only thing that will protect you is no sex contact at all. Most guys know the risks. Most guys also know that stis are extremely easy to treat. Most sensible guys will also get themselves tested for everything regularly. Not used a condom in decades, I'm very sexually active, and never had an sti. If I get one today I'll get it treated. Easy. We're lucky to have an NHS. We're less lucky that too many men simply dont get themselves tested regularly.
