Coming Very Soon - Chancellor of the Exchequer (and landlord of the year) Rachel Reeves to break Labour Party's election pledges on not increasing income tax.

So what next from Wankeir Starmer's shambolic & duplicitous government?

Please don’t be cruel and unkind to dear multimillionaire Nigel. He’s doing his best!

Following his wonderfully induced Brexit I’ve got all my sovereignty back again!

I’ve put my treasured sovereignty in a rabbit hutch in the garden for safekeeping. I’m going to cut off its fur shortly and smear it with sulphuric acid and shove it up Nigel’s arse. Not even his snake-oil will soothe his screams!.

Yes, I do have a habit of ignoring most reports on whatever Reform are said to have stated/promised.

There is no way that anyone can decide now, what to do in 2029 ... Any promises by anyone should be taken with a very large sack of salt.

Four years away from the election , it stands to reason that ideas will change between now and whenever the election is called and manifesto’s published. Who would vote for a party that was four years in the past? I’m sure between now and then all opposition parties will be creating , honing and changing their policies to reflect the mood and economy of the time they are in .

That's a matter entirely for the voters of Clacton to decide at the next election.

And FYI - I'm not expecting Nigel Farage to make the country any better.

Given how it's been run into the ground, the most that can be hoped for is managed decline.

Well they had 14 years. David engineered the disaster that was Brexit; Theresa was strong and stable remember; Boris lost 90% of his cabinet in 48 hours; Liz crashed the economy and Rishi skipped off early from D Day after calling a snap election because the prisons were about to burst open. Actually I expect a lot more than managed decline into a vassal state for American corporate interests.

I expect someone to govern the country and establish for the people what they cannot easily accomplish by themselves.

Corporations can manage their own affairs.

I can sort of understand why Reform are proving popular. The traditional parties have let the country down. The Conservatives totally lost the plot in their last 2 or 3 years in office. Labour are running around like headless chickens. According to the untrustworthy opinion polls even the Greens are surging ahead despite being led by a fruit and nutcase. Still amazed that people are taken in by Farage and his carefully stage-managed but totally false 'man of the people' persona.

Here is a thought. If a government [and it won't be the current one] was strong enough to solve the boat problem and sort out immigration one and for all, would Reform just fade away. After all, once the EU referendum had been achieved the UKIP [Faragista Party Mk 1] all but vanished and the 'great man' himself left the party.

visit occasionally

Farage has publicly stated he believes the NHS should move towards an insurance-based system run by private companies.

Why, so that he and his wealthy friends can benefit.

Everything else is smoke and mirrors to gain voters.

His target voters are the disenfranchised that previously never voted, and that Dominic Cummings was successful in rousing for Brexit.

Same tactics being used now, everything is a mess caused by outsiders.

The Reform supporter are identical to the Brexiteer, they lack critical thinking skills so identify with punchy one-liners, their simplistic minds believe any statistic as long as it supports the cause, no matter how ridiculous.

In place of buses saying they will divert £350 million per week to the NHS, they now say:

Housing crisis isn't due to deliberate policies to limit construction and inflate prices due to limited supply and high demand, it's too many immigrants.

NHS waiting lists, isn't down to the UK being the lowest per capita investment than most other countries, it's too many immigrants.

High crime, ignore that 91% of convicted drug dealers are white british, it's down to immigrants.

Murder convictions, ignore that 64% are white british, it's too many immigrants.

Don't think so. A party now of fantasists led by a total fruitcake. Years ago I went to the Green Party candidate's husting during a general election. She actually talked quite a bit of sense. But now that party seems to have evolved into something far-left and totally weird.
