Yesterday my partner told me I have aged. My first thought was about the images of wrinkled and bald headed men.

Do you think it is ugly to have some wrinkles and bald headed in old age for men? Will the men run away and desert me if one day I lose all my hair?

I don't give a fuck, I'm the age I am and like it. My hair headed north and back round the other side ages ago, I have a few laughter lines and wrinkles and a rather pregnant looking middle aged gut, but fortunately no hanging Bassett hound jowls or chicken wings or rolls of flab. My legs are still pretty hot and while my arse isn't going to make any twinks jealous, it still gets compliments.

Ageing is something young people worry about. Get the other side of the big 4-0 and you'll have it more in perspective.
