I woke up this morning and suddenly realised my illness might shorten my death.

Everything is impermanent. Let go and enjoy your life guys.

Have a lovely Sunday. I love you all guys regardless of whether you like me or not.

I'm all for a short death, quick as possible for me please!

But seriously, you're right. While I haven't ticked every single item off my bucket list I've done quite a bit in 62 years and there's room for more experiences. Things I have done:

Straight sex (lots, including two married women), gay sex (some but looking forward to more)

Driven at 140 on a public motorway and not got arrested

Climbed some pretty hard _ountains in the UK and Ireland (those days might be over though!)

Lived all over the British Isles including Ireland

Played in a hard gigging band for a few years

Had sex on a clifftop

Sired and brought up four kids who are fantastic adult humans now

Travelled a fair bit (mostly Europe as far as Turkey, a bit of the USA)

Still on the bucket list:

Driving a 1966 Chevy Corvair Monza along Route 66 and staying in cheap roach motels for loud dirty sex

And that's about it

Lighten up and give the guy a break! Or make an interesting reply like mine instead of being negative.

You are very wise and smart. Nice to know you. That's what life is all about.

Work/Play in London, live in Kent

Sorry to read you are unwell and happy to read you are spending some time with an Irishman. I would definitely recommend that. It may not extend your life, but will make it more enjoyable.

None of us know how long our lives will be and while there are a lot of things we can do to maintain ourselves as helpful as we can so that we not only live longer, but also we have a healthier older age.

One of the most important things that research is shown, is that you are likely to live longer, live more helpfully, and enjoy your life more, if you are allow joy into your life as you live it. People who are happier are healthier, age more slowly, and live longer more fulfilled lives.

So find something today that makes you happy that has always been my creed. I have not always lived up to us but I try. I recommended to everyone.

And yes, fabguys is one of those things that makes me happier so thanks to the site and its community.

One thing that life has taught me this year is to try live life to the fullest every day and enjoy every moment. Lost lots of relatives this year, some deteriorated quickly. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.

I've recently tried to take myself out for walks more, immerse myself in nature, get out of the city and go sightseeing, do a few things that I enjoy doing (reading, watching favourite series, movies). Life's short for to live it to the fullest.

It's also important to find peace and contentment and not always to think you're missing out on experiences if you're not chasing them. Emotional hygge I call it.

I'm not one to keep on repeating things I've already done or going to the same places I've already been (apart from Ireland, that never gets old); one of my simplest pleasures is driving somewhere I've not been to before and seeing what's there even if it's quite mundane.

If you want to enjoy life before you die. Have a wank & before you cum, jump of Beachy Head. Try to time it, so you have a mind blowing orgasm in the millisecond before you hit the ground

I had cancer a decade ago, and fully looked death squarely in the face.

I was lucky, and due to the amazing work of cancer charities and the wonderful work of the NHS I survived and I’m thriving and have lived to see 3 new grandchildren.

People have said to me to make a bucket list, but I refuse to. I don’t want to stand facing death again with any regrets, even one of not completing my bucket list.

So I just live life to the full, and enjoy every single second of it, no matter how good or bad, because in the back of my mind I know that my next breath could be my last one.

Very sorry to here that you are ill. Sincerely hope it is not terminal. There is an old saying "Live each day as if your last" basically meaning make the most of things, enjoy life but obviously don't harm others. I wish you well.

The Chevy and Route 66 sound good, as long I can bring my strat and bang out a few twelve bars along the way... it may only be rock n roll, but I like it!
