Am I hopelessly old-fashioned in thinking that if someone requests a face pic, they should send their own with the request?

Yesterday, I had this exchange from a profile with no public photos (mine has several):

Him: Nice looking cock

Me: Hi, thank you

Him: You got face pic

I haven't replied, as I'm not sure how to without sounding rude. Basically, I'm not going to send a face pic to someone I haven't chatted with properly, who has shown me no pics at all, yet has access to half a dozen of mine.

How does everyone else deal with face pic requests?

If the chat is worthwhile and the link seems good I respond to face pic requests by saying I'll swap face pics. Usually this works fine.

If the request comes too soon and the chatter hasn't even got any pics at all on his profile, it's not worth pursuing.

I like this approach. I was asked by a guy who didn't have any pics, I'd sent several of my body to him. I said I was OK sharing my body pics, but only shared a face pic by return. His response - 'OK send yours over and I'll reply' I didn't reply after that

I always feel it is up to the person I'm speaking to if they want to send a face pic or not. I'd never ask for one and unless we'd been chatting for ages I wouldn't expect one either. I prefer to respect other people's privacy. No pressure from me.

It seems to me that you’re 'hopelessly' caught up in self -created drama? Some ask appropriately, some inappropriately but there's no right or wrong about 'needing' face pics (or not). It's not rude either way and, if someone gets shirty about it whilst messaging, it's a good indication they weren’t worth meeting anyway?
