No doubt the first 20 minutes is something of the best action ever in a war movie.

Tom Hanks is excellent in it but the story is a tad far fetched.

How many of Hanks' men get killed trying to save one soldier ?

Band of Brothers got made off the back of Saving Private Ryan, both are great, but there’s so many great war films out there, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Hacksaw Ridge, Apocalypse Now to name but a few.
