Very often it's because you just don't fancy the guy who wants to meet and you're too polite to say so.

I worry about the number of close family relatives that are rushed into hospital about half an hour before a planned meet, meaning your date has to cancel to be by their side.

I can take rejection but it thoroughly pisses me off when I give up a day to meet a guy and he doesn't show.

No wonder wait times in A&E are so long.

That is very true. Random winks or half hearted messages don’t amount to much.

I'm always honest and say I am not ready for a meet, and I don't and never will meet at the drop of a hat. It clearly says this on my profile but instill get asked and then get told I'm a time waster. If only they bothered reading my profile.... obviously on top much hurry not to read

Must admit I prefer travelling as I know I am going to turn up nothing worse than sitting at home waiting for a tinewaster

Being able to accommodate doesn't mean you won't have to endure conversations that lead nowhere.

Nor does it stop you from having someone who looks nothing like their picture ring your doorbell.

And you are still at the mercy of snowflakes who haven't got the guts to express what they are into...

Honestly, I sometimes wonder if the guys I interact with have had any life experience in the real world...

And don't forget all those mothers who lock themselves out 30 miles away and need their son (my date) spare key; all those unexpected calls to go to the office when you said it was yoir wfh day; and those pesky daughters that have the horrible habit of visiting their dad (unannounced, of course) not once, not twice but three times during the day I was supposed to meet the dad....I despair....

We all have to cancel at times. I get about 40 guys say there coming to my group meets. I know half will be no-shows (cold feet) others will let me know they can't come I don't mind that. Out of 40 guys I'll get 15 show up.

I can tell the guys that will no-show it's disappointing but what can we do.

Going back a few years, in one day from 3 different people I had a grandmother rushed into hospital, a serious car accident, and my favourite the family of Ukrainian refugees they were going to house suddenly turned up.

I’ve had most of those excuses given.

One even got annoyed when i replied

“Don’t worry. Realised you were going to be a no-show so arranged another meet, had a great time”.

It’s almost like he wanted me to be upset he didn’t turn up. Didn’t get the dopamine hit he hoped for.
