Just recently I’ve gone back to 4 hours. But it’s to do with stress at work and also having two major life events in the last year.

"Sick to death of waking up toooo early "

Welcome to the club…

For some reason without fail at around 4am I wake up and if try to go back to sleep I just toss and turn, although some days I manage 5:30am if I’m lucky!

Gone are the days I could sleep in until 11:30/12:00

If anyone is seriously having problems with sleep, please talk to your GP. It could well be an underlying condition and sleep apnoea in particular. Google the STOP-BANG score. It’s a good place to start

Last night I slept from 22:30 to 03:00, got back to sleet at 03:15 and woke at 06:50 so although sleep was interrupted I did manage 7hrs.

I do get the odd night of 5 hrs sleep but usually I manage 6 to 7.

I don't tend to nap during the day.

One of the issues with our modern society is the use of mobile phones. The light omitted by these devices interrupts our natural circadian rhythm. I have recently not looked at my phone at least an hour before going to sleep and find that I fall asleep a lot quicker.

I went through a phase of nearly sleepless nights (guy trouble, now solved...sort of). Tried a lot of things: infusions, cold showers, hot showers, reading, KO pills, everything. It all kind of helped, to a degree, one way or another, but the best advice I ever got was not to fight it, not to anguish over it ornit becomes a vicious circle of anxiety. If you wake up, and don't want to toss around in bed, get up and read or just rest. No screens please! 🫸📱📺🛑 I've gradually gone back to a resemblance of normal, but I still sleep less than I used yo

I had 11 hours last night! Surprised myself.

No screens in the bedroom, no phones or devices. And I stop looking at my phone way before I go to bed.

As someone else mentioned, the blue light from the screens is detrimental to your body preparing for sleep.

Plus there is the addiction factor of needing to just check this or that. I believe the need for a dopamine hit can play a part in waking people up.

Phone off and left downstairs until I actually get up and start my day.

4 or 5 hours all my life due to normally work as a youngster I'd be up at 4.30 and walk to the next village to meet up with a man with a van and deliver morning rolls. Baking trade, early rise, forces early rise, fire brigade early rise so my body clock is set,can be shit in the winter, dark and dangerous as they say ,for mental health

Try a few spots of pure lavender essential oil on the pillow.

If you wake up early, sit up in bed with a neck support, eye mask on and you'll drift off again

I have similar issues. Hardly ever fall asleep again when I wake up in the night. Never sleep through anymore either

I get about 5-6 hours on average but it's not enough.

Melatonin might help. Not

As innocuous as once thought so don't make it a habit. It's only for adjustment periods (jetlag, shock sleeplessness etc.) I don't think you can get it over the counter in this country; its sale is now much more Restricted in Spain as well. Nowadays i can only get my jetlag stash in Latin America without prescription. Talk to your GP

I usually end up waking up a good hour before I have to get up for work or of I'm travelling somewhere, which is really annoying.

I managed 8 - 8.5 last night which was great. Not getting out of bed either until I have to!
