"Got lent a bread maker in 2010, I was making bread like nobody's business for about 2 weeks, then it got hidden away for about 7 years until I moved house. Those 2 weeks were great. Sandwich toaster is another good one" Always burn my gob as they came out super heated

"I've had a couple of bread makers and whilst I've had good results, cooking for myself and occasionally my daughter, they soon become kitchen clutter, I only have so much cupboard and worktop space. " It's a general problem with large kitchen appliances & anything but a large kitchen. Whatever it is, you have to clear space on the worktop, lug it out of the cupboard, set it up, use it, clean it all, dry it, and put it back. The only things that earn a permanent place on my worktop are the pressure/slow cooker, electric whisk and chopping board.

"Never buy shop made bread. It's all made in the bread maker. Less than 10 minutes prep time, 4 hour cook time, ready for sandwiches at lunchtime." Me too. No more bloated belly (from whatever it is that the shops add to keep the loaf fresh for longer)

"One of those "gotta haves" I think our bread maker along with the soup maker had a one-way trip to the recycling skip ..." Soup maker? I didn't know that such a thing existed. Isn't it just a pan?

" I do use my slow cooker and soup maker " I dislike them intensely. They produce thin, tasteless sludge. My pressure cooker, on the other hand, is fast and produces tasty, well cooked meat and a thick gravy. I also use it to make stock from roasted bones or a carcass.

"I wonder how long before air fryers are joining them in the loft or second hand shops. " I was listening to a marketing expert talking about why air fryers are probably here to stay. He pointed out that when people were asked if they’d replace things like bread makers or soup makers if they broke, most said they wouldn’t bother. But when the same question was asked to people who own an air fryer, the majority said they’d replace it straight away — and plenty had already upgraded. Air fryers also appeal to loads of different people: those living alone, campervan owners, anyone trying to keep energy costs down… etc. Of course, there’s always the chance that a company like Ninja will come out with something new that takes over — and then all our air fryers will end up shoved in attics around the country! (God this makes me sound boring , which I promise I'm not!!

"I am on my 3rd bread maker , love them , you know exactly what you are eating, I adapt the ingredients to my taste, I make all kinds of bread ,my fruit bread is in great demand , I also make pizza bases then freeze them. I have also made jam . I have also perfected gluten free bread for a friend that is actually edible lol" My attempts and gluten free bread in the maker just result in something that could be used as a clog. Whats your secret?
