Ive received messages from some guys and at the bottom of their profile there is a yellow banner saying beware of scammers and people doing commercial stuff please report them.

Is this a warning that the fab used isnt genuine or a scammed?

I think it's just a standard thing for new users when the message. Not necessarily a definite scam but just a reminder that people aren't always what they seem. You can filter out newbies if it worries you.

If you see a “new profile” (not sure how long it remains but certainly there for a couple of days) there is a yellow message about “See anything wrong with this profile” as a warning as the profile is very new so you exercise more caution. I would guess that if one of these profiles messages you the message is tagged with this warning (there were some incidents reported in the news of people being assaulted and r****d who met on this site a few years ago). There is a setting in your profile that stops these “New profiles” being able to contact you until the “new” period expires.
