So, whenever I go to a piblic toilet and use the wall urinals, I try and take a glance to my side if someone is there just to see how I fair compare to them and seeing if anything happens thereafter (if anything).

Always fail in this though as I'm nervous about getting caught.

Any hints and tips you guys have that allows me to compare or if things COULD happen?

Public toilet used to be a lot darker and seemed to be cleaned less often, most now feature individual urinals with side screens , long gone seems to be the stainless steel troughs or floor troughs. I think comparing with your fellow users is still common but its more difficult.

Still a few trough urinals around but seems to be phased out as they modernise.

The troughs are much easier to cast a sideways glance.

Have seen some guys even at individual urinals, dropping their shorts/trousers/underwear as they piss. Guess they are keen to be looked at

Don't know about today, but back in the day there was a public urinal in Vauxhall Park, very close to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, one of the busiest gay pubs in London.
