Apologies if this has already been discussed on another thread. Just went to see it in the cinema. For the most part I quite enjoyed it. Definitely could’ve done with, more 😈 but a very interesting and sweet film.

Would be interesting to know if anyone else has seen it and what they thought. I feel like the reaction will be quite divisive, both amongst the dom sub community and otherwise

Was looking forward to seeing plenty of Alexander Skarsgard, will I be disappointed?

Oh definitely not. The camera loves him and he more than delivers 😍

I'll definitely be taking a trip to the cinema in that case

There is an existing thread entitled "Pillon". But maybe that's for a different film. 🤔

Actually, there are now seven threads devoted to the film "Pillion" (including the thread entitled "Pillon").

I liked it. For me, it's not so much about bdsm but a coming of age film set in the hay leather bdsm community.

Ray doesn't come across as representative of the community, more that he has found his niche where he can hide being emotionally damaged, there's layers of symbolism within the scenes to suggest his pretence.

Colin eventually overtakes him and comes into his own power as a sub, because that fulfills him, whereas Ray is ultimately an empty shell unable to feel or do anything else

Yeah, that’s a fair assessment.

Haven’t read the book. Certainly curious.

I think it’s quite daring for a film playing in mainstream cinemas. Perhaps not as daring as I wanted, but then, I’m a greedy perv 🤪

Very impressive for a debut feature too.

Would be interesting to know of the research that went into it. It was looking at the community with a tenderness and respect. Refreshing really
