Whay do guys get hung up on so many things? One profile I looked at had 'NO BEARDS!'. OK, I get bearded guys aren't for everyone but having a list of 'No's puts guys right off. We all have preferences but please be nice about it

They're just being blunt about what turns them off which seems sensible. Wish more would do it as it would save a lot of time. My profile says something along the lines of no men in womens knickers.

An overtly negative or restrictive profile can seem off-putting, namely hostile; at the same time, it's the only opportunity/space to articulate what we all seek in playmates. It's a fine line🤷🏽‍♂️. I think I'd rather have that than the esoteric 'fill in later' or 'ask me'

That’s good coming from someone who has this on their profile,

“No interest in CDs/TVs, those who wear women's stuff or caged cocks. Does nothing for me. Not into hnh guys”

Seems to be okay for you to say no to a few things

Beards definately divide opinion (I have one).

Its helpful for people to be honest on their profiles. What blows my mind is when someone who says no bears contacts me and says its not a problem when I point out I have a beard

Sometimes, by the time you have read all the stipulations for meeting you have lost the will to live !!!

It's generally helpful if people share likes / dislikes.

Like if anyone doesn't like beards, or bottom-only guys, I wouldn't contact them.

I wouldn't put it in capital letters as such, nor would I write 'no this no that', but I do state my preferwnces. I'm not judgemental. Each has their own types. Sometimes I get annoyed and put 'ONLY OVER 40's' because it's like some people can't read or totally don't read your profile.

You have got a fair amount of things that you are not interested in there on your profile too.

Ive got a few No's on my profile, i think it's better having them up front so people know if it's worth messaging me or not,

It's borne of frustration I would think.

I used to have " please don't call me daddy" on my profile.

Constant messages saying ," I love your daddy cock" or "Fuck me please daddy"

I would reply with " obviously not read my profile!" when what I really wanted to say was

FFS CANT YOU READ!!

I never did but shit, I do have a level of understanding of why guys emphasise something that's a deal breaker.

It's infuriating

If a guys profile is basically about all the ways he doesn't want to have sex, I just take it that he doesn't really want to have sex

I definitely have preferences for attributes I like and don't like, but other than not liking being addressed in fem terms and pointless one-word comeons, I choose not to mention every single one of them.

People are individuals after all and even if somebody's not your ideal weight/hairiness/orientation/ethnicity or whatever they may still have other redeeming features.

Maybe they feel they have to make it completely clear what they are or are not in to and what they will and will not do, sadly far too many on here either can't be bothered to read profiles properly or just ignore preferences because they think they are gods gift and that special exceptions should be made for them.

People don't seem to read profiles properly. I don't like having my feet tickled. But it can be a problem sometimes. So I try not to meet feet fetishism people.

It’s the aggressive way some put it on that does it

Don’t they know using all capitals is classed as SHOUTING in text language ?

By all means state your preferences but do it politely !

I won't name names but people who come out with the "politeness costs nothing" obviously never get this kind of bollocks:

His message:

Mmmmmm you look a right sexy bitch

My reply:

Hint: have a read of my profile, there's a good lad. It'll tell you exactly what two aspects of this half-arsed excuse for a message got my back up.

I've already totally discounted you because your profile took all of 3 seconds to read, but reading other people's may help you not piss them off in future.

And most messages like that go straight to bin without the "courtesy" of a reply.

Being subtle just means you get people ignoring your preferences and wasting their own time. Saying NO is a good thing although it needs to be worded in a polite way.

Elsewhere I've seen "no olds" which is charming.

There is indeed a bit of self-owning and petard-hoisting and pot-kettling happening there

I used to be like that. But about 25 years ago I had this guy wanting to meet. He was everything I didn't want. After about a year of him pestering me I said ok. Well he turned up told me he just wanted to suck my cock. I layed back and he started. Two hours later I'd had that many orgasms my head was spinning . I had to tell him to stop. Two hours and he didn't make me cum once. I've no idea how he did it. But boy it felt so good. And to think I'd put him off for over a year. Evan now if he asked I'd drop everything he was that good.

Now I'll meet anyone that wants me. Why because you never know what you could be missing.
