Anyone advise a treadmill for up to £200?

Thinking it might be my best option for gentle exercise but don't want to waste space or money.

I've asked this similar question in the past whether it's a good idea and people's reviews if they have one

Amazon have a range. Choose a longer treadmill as guys have a longer stride. Read the reviews and reject any that aren't reviewed

Weather. And possibly side bars to hold onto if you are a bit wobbly. Also. No need to get into coats etc.

I would imagine if you have the space at back of house you could use it outside on a fine day.

I can't walk too far a distance without support due to spinal stenosis. Also. If you do, say ten minutes in the morning then a bit later you don't need to keep going out. Hop on and off when you feel like it.

Don’t waste your money. These thing’s never last. I’ve had a treadmill, rowing machine, stationary bike. In the end all given away after months of non use and ended up going back to the gym.

Treadmill at home is a GREAT idea. Find any brand. Second hand one from people who buy then don't use and sell is the best option. I've had one since COVID days and use it daily

A Town near You!

Definitely go down the 2nd hand market route. My ex-wife spent the guts of €900 on a sports branded one, it ended up in the conservatory mainly used for drying clothes.

Well, yes a treadmill indoors does allow you to walk if the weather is crap, but how often do they end up in the corner or cupboard unused. I tend to do short walks around the car park or up an down the street. You can do quite a distance doing circuits without being too far from home (or the loo) and of course if you need to stop it can be just a few steps to get back indoors. You can start out with short circuits (say 100 or 500 steps) and build up as you become used to it an do it several times a day. You would be surprised how that can build up.

I started the couch to 5k and a tread mill when it is cold and raining is ideal to keep me going.

They're great for hanging washing on in the corner of the bedroom. I dust mine occasionally.
