Do you guys think that a sauna is a bad place for catching flu? Warm wet, lots of kissing and body contact.

You might get flu in any indoor places without good ventilation . Surely sauna is one of them .

A robust immune system is the way to prevent flu - then one can enjoy as many partners as one wants with kissing and sex.

So many people out & about coughing and sniffling you're probably likely to pick up whatever's doing the rounds. Smaller indoor spaces has to increase the likelihood.

"Do you guys think that a sauna is a bad place for catching flu? Warm wet, lots of kissing and body contact."

It's an excellent place for catching flu. People often (selfishly/obliviously) use them for helping to clear blocked (nasal) passages. Add in all the body/surface contact, along with some environments being especially good for air dispersal/transmission, and 'Bob's your uncle!' 🦠

Regular sauna users may want to consider annual flu vaccinations to reduce risk?

Well when they refurbished the car park at my local Tesco, I did suggest they put the mother and child parking at the furthest end of the car park, with lockable cages for their screaming unruly spawn. That didn’t go down to well, or the idea of mandatory chloroform points 😂

Your lucky if that's all you catch.

The worst place to get the flu are busses or down the pub.

I wouldn't worry about the sauna the heat should kill it off.

Don’t you just love the tolerant gay community! Let’s not stop with children, how about those pesky disabled people blocking up the aisle in their wheelchairs, or the old in their mobility scooters or walking frames. We should ban them all from actually going out in public and making our lives a misery!

Don’t forget fat people. They block the aisles, move too slowly and buy too much food which also slows down the checkout.

I totally agree! Vaccines have been extensively tested and proven to reduce severe illness and hospitalisation from flu and Covid-19. The overwhelming scientific consensus supports vaccination as a crucial tool in protecting public health. Misinformation can spread quickly, but facts and evidence support the safety and efficacy of vaccines.

The biggest problem with the flu is that most people claiming to have the flu only have a bad cold, but know the flu will get you off work easier than a cold will.

He has an opinion (not shared by the vast majority) that the facts (vaccines clearly demonstrated to be effective) are not facts! It's unfortunate that such people seek to undermine the effectiveness for the population as a whole (including for the unvaccinated) by propagating their opinions, which are based on misunderstandings and misinformation, not to mention their blinkers

When you have pharmaceutical companies, spectical providers and dentists ect motivated by selling more services to increase profits... can you believe what they are telling you? The profit motive should be removed from health care... so you only get what you really need!

It seems to have escaped your attention that flu kills, especially those with compromised immune systems, and vaccination rollouts, with high uptake, can prevent many deaths/unnecessary suffering.

I don’t need another flu vaccine until next autumn. I’m asthmatic and the thought of having an asthma attack whilst I’ve got flu makes me shudder. I’ve had the flu jab every year for the last 30 or so years. No side effects or ill effects at all. I once got flu after having had the jab but it was no way as serious as full on flu.
